Butterfly Festival 2023

Join Colonial Gardens for our annual Butterfly Festival! Centered around the release of 500 monarch and other native butterflies, this event is a great way to learn more about these incredible backyard animals, explore local crafters, and spend a day with friends and family.
Starting July 1st, you can reserve your very own butterfly to release at the festival at one of our four release times: 10am, 12pm, 2pm, and 4pm.

Stroll through our beautiful gardens, shop with local vendors, and learn how to be involved in your local community with non-profits.

Please note that we are always reluctant to rely on the rain date as it impacts the survivability of our butterflies. Please expect the event to move forward as planned unless we post otherwise.
