1st Annual Portland Founder’s Day featuring a Mini Pow Wow with Paza, Tree of Life

Portland Events Community is excited and proud to host our 1st Annual Portland Founder’s Day featuring a Mini Pow Wow with Paza, Tree of Life!
This event is packed with fun, free ways to engage with your family while learning interesting history about how Portland came to be.
Items below will run from 1 pm to 6 pm:
– We are excited to partner with Paza, Tree of Life to include a mini pow wow to showcase the dances, cultural traditions, and customs of the many different tribes that make up the indigenous peoples of North America.
– Stroll Down Memory Lane provides you with a virtual and printed map to 10-12 historical landmarks around Portland. Each landmark will have a custom “stand in” prop to use for a fun photo op! Stick your head in and have a friend or our volunteer take the picture to transport you back in time. Return to the main table and validate with our volunteer that you took a picture with each landmark and you will be entered into a free raffle for a great prize! (Memory Lane is FREE!)
– Trolley Rides will be provided to all attendees. Ride the infamous trolley for fun, to visit the vendors or live entertainment spread throughout Portland, or to get you to midway points for the Memory Lane Stroll. (Trolley rides are FREE!)
– Live Entertainment will be found throughout the borough. We will showcase a variety of local talents during the course of the 5 hour event.
We are excited to announce our headlining band, Cody Tyler & Gypsy Convoy will kick off their 2 hour set at 5:30 pm at the ball field.
More talent, select artisan vendors, non-profit, veteran owned & vendors from Delaware Water Gap to be announced!
